About the painting
Less is more. In Shadows of the Airborne Troopers we see only the silhouettes of the airplane and paratroopers that landed by the thousands on Dutch soil to fight for our freedom. The yellow-red sky conjures up both an ominous feeling, as well as the impression of a setting sun.
