This auction is for one of the original paintings that artist Albert Ziëck has created as part of the ‘Airborne Collection’. A limited edition canvas of this painting can be bought here.
All proceeds from this auction will go to the ‘PKN Oosterbeek-Wolfheze’.
About the painting
The little church on this canvas, located at the Benedendorpsweg in Oosterbeek, is possibly the oldest in the Netherlands. A great shame, then, that in 1944 after eight days of battle it was all but destroyed. It came out of the war in a ruined state, but was fortunately rebuilt shortly after.
